i. The performer of I’tikaaf not allowed to bring in cassette player, Mp3, Radio set etc.
ii. No stranger/visitor is allowed to cohabit with the Mutakif.
iii. Mutakif must please cooperate with security men/women.
iv. All worldly matters such as current affairs etc are not to be observed during I’tikaaf.
v. Joint Dikr, Nawafil (except Tahajud and Tawaweeh) are not allowed to be performed in jamah. They are to be done silently so as not to disturb others (including individual reading of the Quran).
vi. Electronic Quran recitation of the Holy Quran from mobile phone is not allowed.
vii. Supplications/Invocation (making of due), reading of Quran, Asalatu etc. ARE FORBIDDEN TO BE DONE IN GROUP BY THE MUTAKIF for they are against the way the Holy Prophet performed I’tikaaf.
viii. Group discussions, lectures, exchange of views, noise making etc. are forbidden throughout the period of I’tikaaf.
ix. Individual complaints should be directed to the Management and on no account should anybody incite others against the coordinators.
x. Female Muslims (except widows) who wishes to participate in I’tikaaf should do so with the permission of their husband and come with their Mahram.
xi. Borrowing of materials is not allowed. Therefore, those materials such as copy of the Holy Quran, Tesbih etc. are to be provided by each participant for his/her own use. Mutakif can bring EXTRA sleeping materials because only one mat will be provided.
xii. Movement would be restricted within the Mosque. Going outside the Mosque spoils I’tikaaf.
xiii. Visitors will not allow to visit the Mutakif except in case emergency and the coordinator should be duly informed
xiv. Male visitors are not allowed entrance into the female seclusion area.
xv. Once it is time for sleep/siesta nobody is allowed to do anything that would disturb those that are sleeping.
xvi. Mutakif are to bring sufficient cloths to avoid washing of cloth. In case of inevitable washing, display of washed cloths to the opposite sex while drying is prohibited.
xvii. The use of perfume or Turari is not allowed.
xviii. The use of Electric Kettle, Boiling ring ang Electric cooker as well as any kind of stove is not allowed.
xix. Members should ensure that they wear their identity Badge/Card always. Swopping of identity Badge/Card is forbidden.
xx. Nursing mothers/under aged children are not allowed participate.
xxi. THE MOSQUE MANEGEMENT COULD SEND OUT ANY MUTAKIF FOUND NOT COOPERATING.
